  Hoosier Byrl Harlan. Since the age of 18 his primary residence in Indiana has been in Brownsburg, a small town in the central part of the state. He attended Marian College in Indianapolis and Oklahoma City Community College. The United States Air Force and the FAA trained him to be an Air Traffic Controller and he retired from federal service after 24 years. He has worked in the United States, Japan, Korea and Saudi Arabia as an air traffic controller. He also was employed by the University of Oklahoma as an instructor for several years training air traffic control students. He and Dolores have two children, Stephen and Clarissa. His writing career began during a period of illness a few years ago and has not stopped since.
