Hidden Creek Ranch, February 21, 2008
By  Patricia A. Warnock (Indianapolis, IN United States)
Hidden Creek Ranch is such a wonderful "read." The book is so very refreshing. The author has been so very descriptive with all the many characters in this book. Hidden Creek Ranch is appropriate for any age group - from the youngest to the most elderly. Will, the main character in the book goes from rodeo rider to entrepreneur, all the while sharing his success and wealth with so many, many people. The book is truly a 21st century "cowboy" success story. Unlike most fictional books written now, the book is refreshingly clean and reflects true christian values. I can truly see this book as a "Hallmark Hall of Fame" movie. The reader will truly enjoy this book.

Hidden Creek Ranch, February 19, 2008
By  T. Harlan (Florida)
Hidden Creek Ranch is about the life of Will Davis, a rodeo cowboy with Christian values. He is doing well on "the circuit" and is anxious to have a life outside of it. As the book progresses it is less about the rodeo and more about Will's ranch and growing family.
It is a great read for adults and children.

Hidden Creek Ranch, February 1, 2008
By  Alayne Hunt "webgal" (Indianapolis, IN USA)
One of my favorite television shows while growing up was Bonanza. I loved seeing the great outdoors, the beautiful scenery, and men who worked hard to make their living. Life in the wild west was quite different than today with no phone, no electricity, and pumping water by hand from a well, just to name the obvious things.

Author Byrl Harlan reminds us of that time period, but in today's setting. In his book, Hidden Creek Ranch, we fast forward to the twenty-first century. Will Davis, a rodeo cowboy, not only has a cell phone, but he also does his riding on interstate highways to compete in tournaments on the rodeo circuit. In Byrl's story one can still see the familiar "Old West" bunkhouse, barns, and rough handed farmhand, which adds to the "flavor" of the book, so the western life style comes through loud and clear.

This story is about the fun times shared by family and friends, but also the hardship and pain that go along with life.

Harlan's book is a breath of fresh air from today's average bookshelf, with Will's Christian values coming out in the tale. If you take pleasure in reading Christian fiction, Hidden Creek Ranch will be one you'll want to read.
